Golden Health is one of the largest and most influential vitamin supplements on the market.
Golden Health claims that its Golden Elixir® vitamin product line is better than the standard brand, but that its products are also effective for treating eczema, psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and psorinitis.
The products’ ingredient list, which includes vitamins C and E, B6, and folate, makes it easy to choose among a variety of vitamin products.
In the past, many of the Golden Health products were purchased by patients in the U.S. and Europe who did not have access to prescription medication.
Although there is little scientific data on how much vitamin supplements are effective in the treatment of eczemas, psorcias, psorsias, and rheumatism, a few studies suggest that they are effective.
“In terms of eczyma, it’s quite similar to that of psorias,” says Dr. Mark McArthur, director of the dermatology clinic at the Mayo Clinic.
He adds, “There are no drugs in the US that are approved for psoriosis.”
According to the Mayo clinic, in Europe, patients may be able to find vitamin supplements containing vitamin C and/or B6.
If a person does not have vitamin C or B6 in his or her diet, vitamin supplements may be the answer.
While vitamin supplements can be expensive, Dr. McArthur says they are available to many patients and can be a great way to get their health care coverage.
“It’s a really inexpensive way to have a natural, natural product that is proven to work.”
In addition to vitamin supplements, many other health products can be used for treatment of psoriacystic dermatitis, including antibiotics, steroids, antihistamines, and vitamin E supplements.
The Golden Elixir Vitamin line contains three different products, which include Golden Elixir (vitamin E), Golden Elixir Plus (vitamins C and D), and Golden Elixir X (vitsamins E and C).
The Golden Elixir vitamin line also includes the Golden Elixir II (vitality and anti-aging supplements).
Golden Elixir X also contains Vitamin C and Vitamin E, which can help in the prevention of psORIA, according to Dr. Bruce J. Higgs, M.D., a dermatologist at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.
According a Mayo Clinic study, “The evidence shows that those with psORIAS or psoridiosis who take at least two supplements are more likely to respond well to therapy.”
While these are just a few of the many options available for treatment, Dr McArthur adds that patients can also get a holistic approach by taking vitamin supplements with various nutrients.
Golden Health has partnered with Dr. Alan T. Miller, a professor of dermatology at the Harvard Medical School, to create a Vitamin Plus line, which contains Vitamin A, Vitamin C, and Vitamin D. A healthy diet is also essential to treatment of dermatitis.
Dr. McArdle says that the Golden Heart line is a more effective alternative to vitamin supplement products because its ingredients are more diverse.
One ingredient that Golden Heart’s vitamin products contain is folic acid, which is an essential nutrient found in some fruits, vegetables, and grains.
Many of the ingredients in the Golden Hearts are high in vitamin C, so the vitamin supplements might not work well if the person is taking other supplements or if they are eating foods with high levels of folic acids.
However, Dr T.C. McInnis, M., M.P.H., professor of cosmetic dermatology, and a clinical professor of medicine at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, says, “If someone is going to use a vitamin supplement, they have to take the most effective form of that vitamin.”
The vitamin supplements have also been proven to be effective in treating psORias, as Dr McInnes says, due to their complex molecular structure and their ability to bind to specific receptors in the skin.
These receptors are found in the areas of the skin called the keratinocytes.
It is important to remember that vitamin supplements cannot replace a healthy diet, according, as they are designed to stimulate the immune system.
As the skin heals, the body will convert the vitamin and other nutrients into energy.
With proper nutrition, this process can take months to heal, and it is recommended that patients with psoriac disease and eczems be on a healthy, well-balanced diet and take vitamin supplements daily.
