Juventus win Serie A title

Juventus beat Napoli 2-1 to claim the Serie A crown after winning their third straight game.

After a 0-0 draw at Pescara, they now have four points, one behind the leaders.

Juventus are second in the table, two points off leaders Roma.

Their win lifts them to within two points of leaders Juventus.

“It was an amazing victory.

It is very satisfying for the fans, especially for the players who put so much effort into this win,” the coach, Giuseppe Marotta, said.

Napoli will play Udinese on Sunday.

The Bianconeri have won three in a row after scoring only twice in their previous four matches.

Marotta said: “We are all happy with the result.

We can be proud of the fact that we are the champions.”

Juventus won the opening match of the season by beating Pescarole.

They beat Udinese 1-0 at home in the second leg of the last-16 tie on Saturday.

Despite that victory, Juventus did not win a match in the group stage, and only drew one of the seven group games they played, against Sassuolo.

Parma have not won in six matches in Serie A. In total, Juventus have not lost at home to Parma since January 2011, when they lost 3-1 at the Stadio Olimpico.
